She can dance; he can draw. She knows all of Newton’s laws. She’s an actor, and he can cook. Someone’s writing their own book. Skill and talent everywhere; I have nothing.
A Poem by Ava Grant
The times we live in are full of uncertainty Compelling many to fearfully Wonder with no sense of normalcy About when they will no longer have to worry tirelessly About how to survive in this harsh reality
I feel privileged that right now I have food And I feel we should all be moved To help those who still have to pay dues And who do not have the same opportunities that we do
Many people are struggling And as cases are doubling These people are puzzling and fumbling Over how to just put something on the table
We each have been in a situation where we needed aid So do not be swayed To look the other way And ignore those who are afraid
To help others is to be a part of something much larger than ourselves That in itself Can restore The hope many had before So that smiling and worry-free faces will be of great galore
A Poem About My Favorite Person by Mary Robinson
My favorite heart so gently you caress My cheek, my eyes, lips. I love the way your hands feel in mine, So new. Breathtaking beauty! How it tingles and dances in my chest! I try to memorize your breath, your eyes And how they gleam. I kiss your nose and know that I’m okay.
