The Dying Worlds, Prequel Chapter and Chapter One by Jason Wu
Rosso by Paulo Lombardi
I discerned its striking presence with my own two eyes; its glossy coat gleamed glamorously in the overhead light, and the corpulent horse reared gallantly. Every leg protruded seamlessly from its corresponding incenter, each one serving a consequential role in maintaining the masterpiece’s equilibrium. I gently pulled its resplendent grip back, which unveiled the heart of the horse—a spirited, audacious heart, that strives to prance down a track vigorously and illuminate the souls of the vociferous spectators by demonstrating an unparalleled prowess, by narrowly avoiding each apex in the most skillful manner, by enduring the insurmountable heat summoned to its hooves, by hollering in victory, by commencing a revolution.
The trance ceased, my thoughts were abdicated. I pulled the handle outward, and gently closed the door. Some day I will take Rosso to the cliffs of Amalfi, to the alleyways of Borghi, to the fields of Umbria, to the ports of Sicily to the brooks of Lombardy to his birthplace in Maranello; Enzo would be proud.

Your Second Life: Medieval Occupations by Maya Segura
Welcome to the newest version of the Second Life program! In this edition, you, as our candidate, will be placed in Europe in order to experience the best interpretation of medieval occupations we can provide. As the program is still in early development, you will have limited choices, but do not worry, as our communication technology is state of the art. If you have any issues with your choices being misinterpreted or chosen falsely, please let us know. This is the beginning of your new life. Please begin by selecting which person's position to start with:
Develop your place as a skilled laborer, among the common folk - engage in a simpler life, surrounded by others you enjoy. (Not to mention the pay)
Sit with the starving ones, waiting for either bread or disease to fall into your lap - a more uncommon choice, as you can imagine, but a needed role in creating a well-rounded system nonetheless. Just be wary of those rats- I hear they're bad news…
Work under the eyes of the king himself, among his royal court - but be warned, he's said to have quite the temper and quite the wrath. Be informed that nothing done under him is sure to slip by.
You have selected: [3. Work under the eyes of the king himself, among his royal court] An interesting choice! Although, it's not often found someone who *doesn't* leap at the opportunity to be nobility in power. Unfortunately, you will not be nobility. It seems that our court roles have all filled up in the time you spent selecting yours. There is one honorary role left in the king's court if you want it. Would you like to proceed with the last role?
Yes.
Of course, I do.
You said: [1. Yes]! Excellent! The occupation you now hold is: {Royal Fool; Licensed.} Your responsibilities include:
Diffusing tensions with the king
Maintaining a relaxed atmosphere in the court, for all parties involved
Providing a second opinion on rules and agreements, as the king asks for it
Helping connect the king to commoners, showing a less published side of nobility to the world
Keep the king happy and laughing- but make sure not to go too far, else you'll lose your place under his wings.
Uh-oh. I can’t figure out the reason why, but it seems your system is booting up already halfway through the day. You are about to be placed in the middle of your performance, late in the afternoon. There’s no time to waste, go ahead and make your first independent decision. You have two options for your next joke, which is coming up as this song ends. The two choices are:
Crack a joke about the King’s current wife (The third queen you’ve seen in the kingdom) and her stature.
Drop a quick one-liner about how the lighting inside the castle is very dramatic.
You have selected: [1. Crack a joke about the King’s current wife…] Definitely not the one I would have picked, but if you really want to I suppose. Maybe you should rethink this, the king is known to have little tolerance for jokes he doesn’t like, and the Queen seems to be a sore spot for him… I can give you one more chance to think this through. Would you like to proceed with the current decision?
Yes, the current path is perfect
No, move back to the previous choice again.
You have selected: [1. Yes…]. You really don’t know how to do this, do you? Okay, If you’re so sure about it, go ahead, it looks like it's time to deliver the joke.
Ouch! Just as I suspected, the King didn’t seem to take that one very well. Oh-he’s still getting angrier, and I don’t think you laughing about it is making it any better. You better hope he lets you keep your life, never mind your employment status. Here, pay attention to what he’s about to say to you.
You’ve been fired. Your execution is probably in the near future, on account of treason. You have lost the game. {Proceed to the loading screen?} -Uh-oh. It seems you didn't even make it past a day on the job. That has got to be one of the shortest runs I have ever seen. I didn’t even get a chance to explain it all to you. Apparently, insulting the king’s wife right in front of him isn’t very funny. Who could have guessed that that one would cross the line? Anywho, you’ve lucked out this time. I’m not typically supposed to offer this up, but there’s been a backup simulation running this entire time that you can join into. The current simulation is: [2. Develop your place as a skilled laborer, among the common folk]. Would you like to join this instead of dying? Who am I kidding, of course you do. Let’s begin as a friend of another member of the group. -
The occupation you now hold is: {Gong Farmer} Welcome! Today will be your first day on the job, and the others will most likely evaluate you to decide if your skills are up to par for this life. Oh- quick! Listen up! It seems like they want to say something. “Welcome to the gong life, my friend, we’ve been needing an extra set of hands.” Oh, how exciting! It seems you have been placed as a gong farmer, one of my favorites! The look on your face seems to imply you aren’t aware of what that is… would that assumption be correct? Ah, well, even if you do already know, the opportunity to explain doesn’t come up often, and it would be a waste not to use it this time. A gong farmer is one of the… less glorious jobs of this time. It’s just about exactly what it sounds like, farming up -or transporting, rather- umm... How does one phrase this elegantly… what one would call human “gong”, or waste products. Now- I know this seems quite a bit worse than just abandoning the simulation at this point, but the tempting part of this is the pay. One of the highest paying occupations you can obtain while still living in the town, it’s not something to overlook. I expect you to gain about 5 shillings this week alone, should you follow the current rules. That's about as much as other skilled laborers make in a month! Your job duties include the following:
Dealing with the public toilets and the systems beneath them
Preventing the overflow of toxic products in toilets, houses, and water sources
On Occasion, emptying the toilets of nobility, including the King (a bit awkward for you now, all things considered).
Building up new toilet systems in areas without them or in need of an update.
You don’t know how the toilet system works?? My friend, you are in for a whirlwind of activities today. Let’s see, we’re here at the first spot already! It seems as though you will be emptying out the central toilet for the town today! Talk about starting off with a bang. This is the most commonly used toilet in the entire area, and it has a pit underneath to prove it. Last I checked, this pit was about 10 feet deep and over 20 feet long! Needless to say, it hasn’t been emptied in quite some time, a few years is my guess. Let’s run this through as if its an instructional video: The first thing you might wonder is why we have waited until nightfall to proceed with this. It’s common law that all gong farmers must only work at night, so as to not disturb citizens with the stench and mess of their labor. You will not sleep very peacefully tonight. Your first step is to gain access to the “pit”, as it has been deemed, below the toilet seating. Be vary wary moving forward here, the stench and fumes alone are enough to kill people, as it has done in the past. I would like to spare you details, but imagine something along the lines of fainting under extreme smells and falling… face down. You won't have any protective gear or masks to use, you’re too hardcore for that- you’re also currently lacking a basic understanding of germs. Ignoring the smell, there’s also the obvious risk of toxic materials, disease, germs, etc. Here’s the silver lining though, anything you find while shoveling out buckets of waste is yours to keep! This includes things like rings, papers, pieces of clothing, knick-knacks, and other things people accidentally drop down. It may, however, also entail things that are a bit more… incriminating. I digress… it seems we've gotten a bit off-topic. Your first task was to get beneath the toilet house and into the pit below. Looks like your coworkers are already there. Spare no time then, and move to the second stage, which is going to involve you, a cart, and shoveling, a whole lot of shoveling.
Why aren't you moving yet? What's going on? I can't imagine you're grossed out or nervous at all. Listen, it's one of the many crucial jobs that keep the world turning. The best advice is to hold your breath and hope for the best here.
Oh, wow. You hyped yourself up way faster than I expected. Usually, people are a lot less willing to commit to such acts. I guess the promise of shiny coins hiding in there was enough for you. Well, how does it feel to be knee-deep? Try not to panic, I don't recommend hyperventilating anywhere near here. Remember, you have to stay upright, or else it's all over for you.
Oh, look at that! You found treasure already! Are you willing to reach down and grab it? At least you would get something special from the experience.
You do want to, really? Okay, go for it then, let everyone know what you got.
A singular shiny pence! What luck, you got a bonus on your weekly pay! It's not much, but hey, it's a prize nonetheless.
Ah, looks like working in a team is to your advantage, there's already a cart full of… supplies really to be taken away. As you could probably guess, everything we take out now has to be moved somewhere else. Your face is enough to tell me you are ready to exit the toilet well, so I suppose you can be the one to take the cart away.
There are typically strict regulations around where gong farmers are allowed to take waste, but sliding past those means 1 less night shoveling, and fewer hours hauling it around. You are, however, already on bad terms with the king, as I'm sure you can recall, so lying low could be in your best interests. You have 2 options here:
Follow the rules and take the cart about half an hour down the road, outside of city limits to the designated dumping area.
Use a shortcut to instead dispose of the supplies in the nearest riverbed, just a few minutes away.
What will it be? Are you the kind of person to remain reasonable under the rules, or will you do anything if it means less work?
You have selected: [2. Use a shortcut... ] Of course, I should have been able to see it from the moment you chose to be nobility that you would pick the easier option, be it immoral. Alright, I'll let you be on your way, then. That waste isn't going to dump itself!
Alright, my friend, You’ve made it to the main water source for the town. Go ahead and start tipping that cart! I’m surprised you feel so confident about engaging in these actions, but as long as you’re sure!
Wow! That sure is unpleasant to witness. You better hope no outbreaks happen from this, although I doubt they would be able to trace it to you. It seems like you got away with it this time. I really didn’t expect- Oh. I guess I spoke too soon. If you wouldn’t mind turning around, I think it would be in your best interest. Looks to me like some of your coworkers decided to trail along and make sure you did everything correctly, and they don’t appreciate you breaking the rules. Pretty sure you could get them all punished for it as well. If I were you, I would start pleading with your innocence. It’s not going to take a lot for them to rat you out. This is your last chance, how do you want to try to get out of this?
Cry hysterically and explain you just got confused not knowing what to do
Act as though you have just stumbled upon the scene yourself, and are trying to fix it
Insult the others and tell them exactly what’s on your mind, that you did this because you wanted to and you don’t feel bad
Run away very quickly
You have selected: [4. Run away very quickly] I’m relieved to see you did not select option three. I feared for a moment that you had not in fact learned anything from your time in the castle, and would once again leap at the opportunity to insult more people’s wives. Best not to waste any time then, get to running and hope that they don’t follow you.
You’ve made it quite some distance now, I think it might be safe to stop for a moment. You look a mess, you’re all alone at night, and I think it's safe to assume you no longer have a job. If you return to the city, you will surely be thrown out again on account of your actions. The strict regulations regarding waste disposal are not something to mess with. Without being able to complete the first night, you have received no pay. Your total spoils include nothing but the pence you found while shoveling. Because you also created bad relations with the king, you have no connections to others to fall back on.
You have nowhere to go. You have lost the game. {Return to the loading screen?}
The Dying Worlds (Prequel Chapter) by Jason Wu
Prequel chapter The beginnings of the universe of pavilion is certainly unknown to its finest details, but the empires that stretch to the ends of it can tell you parts of its beginning. In the clusters of habitable planets, an empire called the juno confederation is where the beginnings are told to the truth. Over a century ago, a series of events called the deity wars took place. But first, we must go to the beginning of the universe. Two gods and an empty world, which they called Daren. They populated all parts of its land, with many animals, and humans as the masters of it. Soon after its creation, conflict between the two arised, and soon led to its destruction. But after repairing their relationship, they moved on and created countless worlds. Each of these worlds had a deity to protect them. Soon, the universe was made up of hundreds of these worlds. Soon conflict arose among the deities and the first deity war began. Some of them fought for reason, some for gain, and a few of them fought for enjoyment. The end of the first deity war came when the two gods ended it after finding out about it. At the end of the first war, the juno confederation was created. But one of the gods had enjoyed the first war, and began a second one. By spreading misinformation about the juno confederation, their deity, maya, had to sacrifice her life to end it. But due to the juno confederation having no deity now, the other deities banded together, and the third deity war began over the control of the junio confederation. Neither of the gods wanted to stop it, they wanted to see what would happen to a mortal empire. To their surprise, they managed to defeat the deities in the third deity war. This made all of the deities worried as the news might start a revolution in their own worlds. Soon, that led to the forth deity war. Many worlds began their revolt, many being unsuccessful. But some managed to win. With the end of the forth deity war as the revolutions came to a stop, the Steam Empire rose to power as the second mortal empire. This empire is where our future story begins.
The Dying Worlds, Death's Encounter (Chapter 1) by Jason Wu
In this world, there are those who matter, those who are not. Those born with status, and those who didn’t. In this world called Darren, I was the one who was looked down upon, the one who didn’t matter. I had always wanted to change that. College, that was the way I was going to be someone who mattered. What was the saying that the adults tell kids, that's right it was to find a job they say, earn a paycheck, live a modest life. but I wanted more, just being normal was not becoming one who mattered. In the beginning, I was nothing but worthless but this is my story of how I became someone who mattered, someone that was looked up upon. Chapter 1 The year is 2029, clyde is a student in the university of cameron, in the Steam Empire where technology is everywhere. He is a VR major, a major that deals with all things virtual reality. He lives 2 minutes across from the university in a tiny 2 room apartment, where he currently is sleeping on his double sized bed. The time turns to 7:00 and it buzzes. Clyde wakes up and stops the buzzing. He gets up, brushes his teeth, changes into school clothes and gets himself some breakfast. At 7:30 he begins to walk towards his morning class, Math. As he walks past a sidewalk, he sees one of his favorite friends, Mike. They meet up and begin to walk to their first class together as they had math with the same teacher at the first class. As they walk Mike begins to speak. “Bro, please tell me you did your part for the math project, I don’t want to fail this class. I’m barely hanging on with a 81.” “Of course I did my part of the project, it’s not like I’m going to let you down.” “That’s good because I heard that there is a new girl in our math class, you know I got to look good or else man.” “First of all, I’m not going to be able to carry you next year, remember I'm graduating after this year, I'm not going for a 6 year degree. Second of all, I think you need to stay more focused on your studies, cause you are just nothing but a love sick loner.” “You had to rat me out like that dude, I'm so shocked. You know what, I’ll just walk the rest of the way to class by myself.” “Go ahead, I'm not stopping you.” Mike walks faster till Clyde can’t see him anymore. Clyde takes a deep breath and continues to walk to class. He enters the math sector of the university and gets to his class, where a group of students are blocking all entrances. Clyde, annoyed, walks up to a group blocking the entrance, and proceeds to ask them what is going on. They turn around and answer: ”Bro, do you not know that there is a new student that is super pretty that is in that class. Practically everyone from this hallway is trying to get a look at her. Not only guys but girls as well.” “Well, I’m trying to get to class, may you give me space to enter?” “Wait, this is the classroom you go to. All I can say is that you are lucky.” They make way for Clyde and he enters the classroom. He attempts to study for a test for today but the noises from the entrances keep him from studying well. Soon the teacher puts an end to the stuff happening in the hallways and class starts. As soon as the class stops talking he begins to talk. “As you all know, we have a new student here with us today, her name is Crystal. Everyone Please welcome her.” Immediately following that, everyone tries to introduce themselves to her but Clyde on the other side of the desk row is studying for the test, which immediately catches Crystal's attention, as he was more interested in his studies than her like everyone else is. Soon the teacher stops them all and passes out the test and the students begin. Clyde starts to answer the questions until he hits the last question, number 45. He thinks as hard as he can but still cannot get an answer. Meanwhile Crystal looks at him, and from his actions and facial language, she infers that he is stuck on a question. Clyde notices that She is looking at him, he writes a 45 on his paper, which Crystal realizes. She rip a piece of paper off of a scratch sheet of paper and wrote (21.25, 100.009) on it. She then folded it up into a paper football and then she prepared to throw it. There is one problem though, the teacher. She devised a plan. After noticing that a couple of students were looking at her through the glass of the classroom doors, she gives them a wink. The people scream in joy that they have been noticed by the new student. This prompts the teacher to get up and tell the students to go back to class. In the time he was not watching the class, she flicked the paper, and it landed at Clyde's test paper, right on the number 45. Clyde opens up the paper, and sees the answer and writes it down. Shortly after the teacher came back, he stood up to turn in the test. Shortly after he stood up, Crystal stood up as well to turn in her test. Soon, Class ends and the students leave the room. Clyde walks up to Crystal and strikes up a conversation. “Crystal, you saved me back there, if it wasn’t for you I would have never gotten that question right. I owe you for that one, if there is anything I can do to pay you back, please don’t hesitate to tell me.” Stated Clyde. “Clyde, you don’t owe me anything, afterall we students help each other when one of us needs the help.” Explained Crystal. “You sure about that, cause I actually rarely owe anything, even on my bank account.” Joked clyde. “I see, you're also the type that got a free ride into Cammeron.” commented Crystal, The teacher interrupts them and tells them that they have 4 minutes to get to their next class. After hearing that, Clyde and Crystal continued the talk. “I mean, it’s not that hard, is it? Just a couple scholarships, good grades and test scores.” Stated Clyde. “Well, to the likes of us, it is surely easy, but to many others, it is a hard challenge. One that many won’t even attempt.” Replied Crystal. “To some, it is just a lack of effort, I mean some of them can do it, but they don’t want to.” explained Clyde. “Anyways I’m going to head to second block, see ya later.” Said Crystal. “Yeah, see you later.” Replied Clyde. They part ways and head to their second class. Clyde walks for a few minutes before reaching his second class of the day, Game Design. He walks in to find the teacher playing a VRMMORPG. he sits down at his desks, and brings out his own VR headset and dives into the same game that his teacher is playing. Immediately logged on, he was attacked by a mutant plant monster as he logged off in the middle of a battle last time. He began to run away from the monster and pulled out a weapon before turning back to fight it. He pulled out a sword and marksman laser rifle. Then he began to rush the enemy, firing multiple shots, before getting close enough to the enemy before being able to use the sword. He slashes it and defeats the plant monster but it starts regenerating. He looks around and finds roots going towards a pile of dead NPC bodies and other plants eating them to provide the monster with energy to regenerate and attack. He runs around the monster, slashing all of the roots connecting to the healer plants off and begins his final attack on the monster. He fires a barrage of lasers, and kills the monster. But before it dies, it produces a very disgusting smell, then it disappears. Clyde sighs in relief after the smell disappears, but not for long. The smell was a signal to all of the plant monsters and soon a huge army formed. Clyde immediately teleports to the nearest town called vila. He arrives at the town teleport point, which is represented by a sword in the ground. He warns everyone but they don’t believe him. So he teleports to the main city, where his teacher is. After searching for a while, he finds his teacher, Mr.Green in a bar. He sits down beside him and begins to Speak: “Mr.Green, we have a huge problem. First there is a plant army gathering around the town of vila. Second, Second block has started and you're still online.” “Clyde, What are you doing here, Yes I’m Aware that class has started, I posted the stuff online, but I’ll excuse you for this class. Tell me more about the plant monster army gathering near vila.” Replied Mr.Green. “Well, I was logging on to tell you that class has started but I forgot that I had logged off in the middle of a boss fight and I had to kill it, then I released a smell then the army started to gather.” Clyde Explained. “So you killed the boss and the army started to gather. Did you check the special events tab or the random events tab on the menu?” Asked Mr.Green. “No, let me look.” Replied Clyde. Clyde opened up his hub menu and clicked onto special events and found nothing, and then he went onto random events and also found nothing. “Mr.Green I found nothing. What is going on?” Asked Clyde. “No idea, but get the rest of the class in the game right now, I’ll be waiting.” Stated Mr.Green. Clyde logged off and took off his headset to find multiple people around him, staring at him. He looked to the right and found that mike had been laughing at him “So, I never knew one of the smartest students could be a gamer. I’m guessing you know what Mr.Green is doing so why don’t you tell us?” Asked Mike. “All I’m going to say is, everyone, get online right now, we got an in-game code red. Meet at the Red barrel bar. I’ll explain more once everyone is in.” Clyde put the headset back on his head and logged back in. Mr.green is still drinking, when he gets loaded into the game. “So, did you do it?” Asked Mr.Green. “Of course I did, everyone will be meeting us here in a few minutes.” Explained Clyde. “Alright then, let’s book a meeting room.” Sasid Mr.Green. They booked a meeting room and soon everyone had arrived. 126 people in total, had logged on. Everyone got a few minutes to socialize with each other. Crystal found CLyde and she began to talk with him. “Clyde, I never knew you would be the type to be a marksman rifle person, I thought you would be more of an assault rifle person or a shotgun person.” “You're the one who has dual wielding minigun pistols, I thought you would be the one using a sniper or an assault weapon of somesort.” “Also since when did you ever find out about my class meeting here?” “I saw your Player id and name tag so I found you here.” She clicks on a button and a friend request pops up on Clyde's Screen. He accepts it, and the group go to the town of Vila to confront the enemies. They click on their maps but the teleport point isn’t there any more, so they begin to walk in its direction. They begin the journey, walking ten minutes before sighting the army. They get into position on the nearby hills. With 30 minigunners, 60 assault rifle users, 34 snipers. After getting in position, they began to rain down a barrage of shots followed by more barrages of bullets. The army attempts to charge at them, but they are stopped by the barrage of fire. The army starts to form a shield wall and prepares to rush Clyde and his classmates, but Crystal drops down a light beacon, which attracts more players. Soon the total number of players reaches 200 and they begin to push back against the shield wall. But no matter what they do, the army still closes the distance between them and the players. Soon the players are overwhelmed. Many try to escape but they are killed by the monsters. Soon Clyde dies as well, and he takes off the headset. Returning to the real world, he sees that Mr.Green has died in game as well as many other classmates because they didn’t have their headsets on them. Soon after everyone has taken off their headsets, the teacher begins teaching with the remaining time left. Clyde sat there in silence until the class was over. He then gets up to go get lunch, hoping that it would cheer him up. He walks outside and goes to the nearby restaurant to get food. But lunch didn’t do it either, so he entered his third class, VR game design, with a grumpy feeling. But as soon as he entered, the mood lifted. Afterall, Vr game design was his favorite class. What's more, Crystal is also in the class, and he sits next to her and they begin to talk. “That battle was quite the experience, am I right?” Asked Crystal. “Yeah it was, never did I ever get to see an army that big. But I do hope that was only a small bug in the program. Like, that never has happened before. Imagine that was just an unofficial beta test for something huge.” “Well, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a beta test for an update or something else.” “I hope that is just a temporary thing, cause I don't want to just solo a boss fight and have to run away immediately.” “Well, if you are skilled enough, and if the developers release some new weapons that are good, We could solo it.” “Not in a million years, there were at least 200 enemies during that battle, we were about even to them and we got beat.” “Well, we will see in the next update for sure.” “Yeah, I’m sure we will see.” The Class starts shortly and the teacher begins to introduce a new project where the students get to create their own VR game. Clyde and Crystal decide to work together. They get a good portion of the project done before the class ends. Clyde leaves the classroom and begins to head to his workplace, The Sauced Burger. He works for a few hours and then leaves for home. As he walks across a sidewalk, a semi truck goes out of control and is headed directly at him. Clyde has earbuds in his ears so he doesn’t hear. But Crystal on the other side of the sidewalk sees the situation and she attempts to save him by tackling him out of the way. She jumps but she misses and is also in the trajectory of the crash. The semi truck hits her head a little before a mysterious blue light takes her away. Moments later Clyde also gets hit in the head before the blue light takes him away as well. The hits severely damage their brain, making them lose most of their memories. Chapter 2 In the year 3240, the steam empire has grown to a galactic empire with over 10 planets in their territories. Onboard the SSF Ice Spear, floating in the middle of nowhere in space ,there is an experiment going on, led by a scientist named Dr. Haley. She checks on the test subjects when she sees Crystal, awakening on the left side of a two person cryo-pod and she goes to greet her. “Subject 001, Crystal. Welcome to the Steam Empire. The year is 3237 AD, we hereby welcome you to the most amazing empire.” “What happened, and where am I?” “You were just in a simulator that trained you to be able to fight well for us and do whatever you would like. This is the SSF Ice Spear, the ship that I will give you to command. “First of all, who are you?” “I’m so sorry for not introducing myself, My name is dr. Haley. You are the first test subject in the virtual training program that I am testing.” “I see, well then. I’ll just get a tour of the ship.” “Go ahead, after all it is yours to keep. However, just remember that there is still one test subject, 002, that you will have to keep an eye on.” “Got it, anything else I should know, Dr. Haley?” “Nothing else, but you might need this.” “A phone. I just realized that I didn't have one on me. Thanks for the phone, Doc.” “No problem, I’ll see you later. I’m going back to my ship now.” “Alright then, see ya later!” Dr.Haley leaves the ship, and Crystal begins to tour around the ship. Finding out that this ship is different than she had imagined it to be. Not only was it a ship for combat, it had a food court in it, allowing the crew to eat some different kinds of foods every day. Crystal then takes a transport to the Command deck to check out the place. Soon after she gets there, the crew greets her. She Greets them back and begins to look around the controls, somehow knowing how to use all of its instruments and tools. She continues to look at the Command deck when suddenly a ship out of nowhere appears, and attacks the SSF Ice Spear. Crystal begins to panic a little then she calms herself down and calls for all personnel to get to their combat stations.Soon, the ships go into a battle and she is winning. Soon the enemies send out fighters, and a crew member on the command deck reports it to Crystal, who immediately sends fighters of her own. Soon the ship is destroyed, and Crystal tells one of the Crew members to do a damage check. She reports that 30% of the ship has taken severe damage. Crystal commands the ship to go into repair mode. Soon after 30 minutes the ship is repaired to 100%. Soon after, she gets a text message from Dr. Haley. She States: “Congrats on passing the test, you have shown me that it is possible for troops to be trained virtually, I’ll be sure to report this info to emperor.” Crystal texts back with,”Emperor, like we have a ruler in the steam empire or is the ruler’s name Emperor?” Dr. Haley Responds with,” We do indeed have a ruler, and yes, his name is indeed Emperor. Anyways you should check on subject 002, he might be awake.” Crystal replies with,”Got it, I’ll be sure to check on 002.” She Immediately left the Command deck to check on 002. She arrives at the pod, and checks on him, to find that he has not awakened yet. She also catches his name, Clyde, which brings her a memory of them being together. Her mind brushes the memory off the side due to hunger. So she Immediately gets some food. After having some food, she does another tour of the ship, particularly in the maintenance hallways. She finishes the tour and goes to visit a flight deck. She enters and is greeted by the crew, who begs her to fly an AF22 jet fighter, which she accepts. She enters the cockpit and takes a few moments to remind herself of its controls before taking off. She does some tricks and practice shots before returning to the Flight Deck. After returning to the flight deck, she does a check on Clyde again, before heading off to the command deck to check out more of the ship. She enters and is greeted once more. Crystal walks towards a holographic screen, or holo-screen, and checks it out. She finds that it is very useful, and she begins to play with it before being tired and heading to bed. The next day she awakens and begins her new daily schedule, made by Dr.Haley. She gets up, gets changed, and heads to the food court to get breakfast. Soon later she begins to train her troops for 2 hours before getting some free time which she spends by playing games on the holo screen. Her crew doesn’t care much about what she is doing, after all she is the most chill boss anyone onboard has ever had. Soon after she does a check on Clyde, and notices that his eyes are twitching, so she stays by the pod to see if he would awaken.
