LadyBird By A.
It is time you know, my beautiful girl, That the skies are not the limit. The universe reaches far beyond what you see, And dreams never truly die.
Though they say you are flightless, Delicate, and fragile. Your wings will rip at the seams, Your spirit will rumble with the incoming storms.
But you, my ladybird, shall not falter. No matter how loudly the rain patters. For you are the perfect display of beauty, From upon your wooded perch.
Extend your winds proudly, And let them carry you through the night, Jump down from your lowly branch, And take flight.
Serendipity by Paulo Lombardi
Its resplendent shine; a torpid coin on the ground. Serendipity.

In order to keep his heart safe
Crowded by Zaire Prime
Riding the bus wherever it goes People pack in with all their needs and wants and worries Direction is lost on the driver Orders swarm around and the voices put their hands On the wheel and chop off the driver’s feet. Along for the ride, with no direction He wonders and whispers to himself Where he’d like to go. When it’s all dead and done They step off and leave him Empty. The horizon awaits him, But he can’t drive without their voices.
The Mothers by Saina Srivastava
If you look at her Maybe you’ll see a broken soul But I see a warrior Who took to battle and came back whole
She may just be alone Raising a child with boundless love No one ever gives her her throne Even if that’s what she deserves
She is strong and she is fierce
No one talks about a woman’s sacrifices Or the blood, sweat, or tears They prattle in viscous voices With all the hopes that she will hear
No one talks about her with respect Even though what she does is magic No one says, “let me help” It’s the truth that’s tragic
Every night, she wishes the world would listen
No one talks about her power How she took every little boulder The barriers she broke made all the skeptics sour The chains of the world couldn't hold her
She shattered ceilings and rose to new heights
But those with partners are safe either Safe from the arrows, the mace They always want to dampen her fire But she will always persevere, no matter the stakes
She was prim with a hunger to prove Doubted, given she had obligations to others But for this woman, greatness was overdue And nothing in this world could stop her
This woman may not raise a child alone But she fought the war nonetheless In the darkest nights, she shone By having this woman as my mother, I’m blessed
For she is an idol to those she meets, and hope to all others
Every night we go to bed, Wondering who we are Think of another thing instead Of how the mothers have brought us so far
I Am a Byproduct of Capitalism, a Feminist First-Generation Immigrant by Sofia Segura
I am a byproduct of capitalism, a feminist first-generation immigrant. Green needlepoint on my skin Tracing my soft silhouette, so innocent Introducing me to the idea of sin Why teach me? Just to leave me, with the knowledge that hell exists With the knowledge that my poverty is an inevitable byproduct.
Tossed from the arms of greed into lust
Why do my footsteps drag so much Why are his shoes so much lighter Left to drown in the water “Swim” they shout to me as though the ceiling isn’t iced over. Make your knuckles bloody for relief, for air
I Meet My Sisters When the Waiter's Passing Us Around by Sofia Segura
I meet my sisters when the waiter’s passing us around
I sit up a bloomed lotus flower Stretching my arms up, unmet by anything but the fresh air We, the women Dance.
Pointed toes, outstretched legs Our bodies shiver, we are taken from the morgue Perform
Painted red and dropped into flutes We fizzle outwards I watch the champagne bubbles move upwards Freed
The glass walls meet each other Shatter against my skin And I fall into this repetitive motif,
Eyes warming my vulnerability Fingers brushing by me I shudder at their touch, shy from their gaze My petals too far open My skin too pink, too untouched We wade through space, floating lotus’ Trapped
We dance, not in synchronicity In similarity We perform.
Felixan Incognito Vol 1 by Jason Wu
Description: felixan Incognito is a Fantasy novel that tells the tales of Felix aqua’s incognito encounters with the mortals in his world of Aquarius. Set in the age when the idea of Creation began to develop. This tale blends fantasy with history into a dazzling package. Vol. 1 Aquarius is a planet with many treasures and gadgets from all over its surface, and with so many precious items, one is sure to also find those who look with a discerned eye. The first owner of the gadget antique shop, the gadget collector, was one of those individuals. The gadget antique shop located on fusion plain was a shop that is not one a commoner would shop at. Only open when the moon hits the midpoint of the night cycle, this shop’s customers were nothing but the vast majority. They were those with wealth and those with outstanding taste in mechanical engineering. An expertly Crafted watch from the Wreckage, a wave-shaped catalyst from the Aqua-Ryven war, Incense from the great shimmering pot of the galaxy, a mechanical arm from the steam empire, a goblet of fire from an unknown vendor, crystalizing shield jade, Magic aqua shields, a teacup from which to Aqua lord drank from, a wave catcher that was used by Ryver, all of these items and many more, were on display for the customers to purchase. One night, a relatively wealthy young man walked into the store and began analyzing the items on the shelves. The owner was struck by his long cyan robes, dark and all-knowing look on his face, and his eyes, which were the color of kyanite. This was no ordinary man, Celia could tell with one glance. “Welcome to the gadgets antique shop of fusion plain,” She said,” Please continue to look at your leisure, and if anything interests you or if you find something you like. Please don’t hesitate to call me over.” Her sweet voice broke the dead silence of the evening. “Huh? Oh, I didn’t see you there, sorry about that.” The young man smiled and spoke in a deep but calming manner. “I’m just rather taken in by these pieces of replicas.” The Artifact that had caught his eye was a slightly worn-down aqua shield ring. “Replica, what makes you think so?” Celia has been used to shoppers stating such claims, but this young man spoke so bluntly and calmly that she could not help but feel annoyed by his claims. The fact that his aqua shield ring had been found on Siva, in the deep caves in which the Aqua lord and Ryver had battled in, by an explorer who barely made it out alive due to the horrors within. The fact that she even lectured to the explorer about how reckless she was, and how it cost a huge fortune for her to acquire the artifact. If it was truly a replica, then not only did she lose a massive fortune, but it also would mean massive damage to her reputation as the best quality goods in all of Aquarius. She knew what she had to do: not only get rid of this calamitous shopper who threatens all of her business that took a decade to build from the ground up, but also needed to sell the artifact in the process of getting rid of him. “Please Continue,” she said,” I would love to hear your detailed explanation of your accusation.” “As we all know, the planets were divided into chaos with the deity wars a long time ago. Even though the effect was not as bad as the planets in the main habitable cluster, the effect was still felt here. War preparation began in the ancient Aquarius, and Felix Aqua began his plans to attack Siva. It was then that many of the artifacts and devices of ancient times were made. As you know, both Siva and Aquarius would be very different if they had not declared war.” “The deities who were worshiped by the people in their world, made many items to attempt to please them. Many devices that were used to please Aquarius would end up on the lands of other places, and the Aqua lord did not have a need for them until the day Ryver attacked his planet.” The shopper even paused for a brief moment to make himself seem more notable. “Aqua shields were a kind of artifact that they would make during the era. These shields would protect the people of Aquarius from enemy attacks. Soon when the first wave was over, the Aqua lord even took the form of a man to lead his forces into battle, ultimately winning in the second encounter.” Celia interrupted the man in his deep explanation of his statement. “Well this is where you are ultimately wrong,” She said while smiling a little,” Perhaps you would be willing to listen to my story before making your final verdict?” Celia narrowed her eyes, looking straight into the shopper’s eyes, and began to tell her story.
