Freshman "Every Christmas my family gets together and makes a dessert called divinity in order to remember my grandmother. Divinity is a powdery cloud of sugar, sometimes we put nuts in it or not, it depends on the batch because they’re little individual rounds. The entire process is a lot of hard work, so we only do it at Christmas time. There’s a lot of prep that goes into it with mixing and baking, and if we don’t follow the recipe to a T then it’s really easy to mess up." |

Sophomores "There are eight days of Hanukkah, each night our families, we’re cousins, come together, sometimes with extended family, and we light the Menorah. Every night we get a gift and then on the last night we get a big one. During the season we eat special foods like Jelly donuts and Challah, a type of braided bread. Our favorite foods are Latkes, a type of potato pancake." |

Junior "After we get back from Christmas Eve church service, my family takes a Christmas picture; then we pick out a random present from under the tree for each person to open early. I got my first basketball one Christmas Eve, which is actually what started my fascination, or what some people call my addiction, with the sport." |
